Having been a fan of the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar as a child, I have to say I loved the theme of this first birthday party! The birthday boy's creative mom really brought the book to life with lots of fantastic details, my favorite being the caterpillar catcher gift bags. Sweet Bee Cakery baked the amazing cupcakes and incredible cake. Yum!

This adorable little girl was pretty in pink during our Hoboken family portrait session. She was happy to spend the morning snuggling with her parents and listening to dad play his guitar. After lots of photographs and several wardrobe changes she was ready for an afternoon nap!

How cute is this little one with his velvet blazer? He had a fun day running around Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park, New York. I love the grounds of this national park. From the gardens to the house there are lots of beautiful areas to explore!

After photographing this little cutie pie as a newborn and at three months old, it was so much fun photographing her again at six months! She has the most amazing blue eyes and I love how her mom dressed her in shades of blue to match them. I can't wait for our one year session in a few months. Time sure does fly by!

I love photographing in New York City and the West Village was the perfect backdrop for this maternity session. Nadia and Jay are such a cute couple and were so much fun to work with. Photographing around their neighborhood was especially important to them because they planned to move out of state to be closer to family. Therefore, we spent the afternoon visiting some of their favorite spots. While their baby may not officially be a New Yorker, I think he will always be one at heart.

No matter how many times I see it I am always amazed by how quickly little ones grow! Six months ago this cutie slept through his entire newborn session. Now he is sitting up, interacting with his parents and all smiles! You can see how tiny he once was by following this link.
